EVERYBODY'S LOCO FOR BUKO!

Some say its a giant nut but for us Filipinos its the tree of life.

DID YOU KNOW? Every part of the Coconut tree is being used and not put to waste because first, the leaves and the trunk is used for building small nipa huts and also for basket making. Second and most special is its fruit called buko. When it is dried, its coconut tusk can be used as a cleaning material of the floor in the house; its extract is traditionally made into a liquor called lambanog; another use of it is for virgin coconut oil that is world known and also its coconut fibers are in demand in the world.

Buko is one of the biggest exported product of Philippines because of its juice inside and its white substance called Kernel. As you can see in the picture, the buko juice and the Kernel is mixed in all together with water and sugar for additional taste.
If you had a tiring day and need for an instant refreshment, you can find it anywhere around the town proper in the Philippines for just a cheap price for only P5 to P10.
But if you want to buy the whole fruit, you can for just a low price.

DID YOU KNOW? It is a tradition in the Philippines that when you are suffering from Urinary Tract Infection (UTI), buko juice is only the solution to your sickness. Why? because once you drink it, your digestive and urinary system is replenished thus cleaning your kidneys.
